The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA) was founded after Prop 13 passed in June 1978 as a permanent citizen’s organization to protect taxpayers’ gains from the proposition. Today HJTA has kept Prop 13 and the California Tax Revolt alive for more than 30 years. During that time Prop 13 has saved Californians over $528 billion or nearly $10,000 for each man, woman and child in the state.
David Wolfe has worked for HJTA for ten years. In this capacity, he monitors the Legislature closely, writing position letters and testifying on hundreds of bills. He is responsible for the Annual Report Card for all 120 legislators and he contributes to HJTA’s quarterly publication “Taxing Times.” Having sat through hundreds of hours of budget hearings, he can also speak broadly on Sacramento’s spending habits. Wolfe is a graduate of Redwood High School and Sonoma State University – a Marin boy with a conservative brain. Hallelujah!
