FALL CONVENTIONS

Fall is convention season This fall NRWF women attended two important conventions so far: The National Federation of Republican Women Biennial Convention and the California Federation of Republican Women annual convention.

At the National Federation of Republican Women, Novato Republican Women, Federated was awarded two special honors.

In Region 8, which includes all of the individual clubs in 5 western states, Novato RWF received First Place, Caring for America Award. This is national recognition for all of the wonderful community projects that we organize, including the North Bay Children's Center reading program, flag donations to the schools, book donations to libraries, care packages to the troops, Valentines for Vets project, to name a few.

NRWF also received was honored in the top ten club websites in the nation. Although not all clubs have a website, this is quite a feat of which we are very proud.

The California Federation of Republican Women said good-bye to Mariann Headstrom as her term as President comes to a close. As Mariann is an infamous wearer of hats, the convention ladies honored her by wearing all kinds of hats. Below are wonderful, frivolous and hilalrious hats worn spotted at the convention. So while steeped with education, enlightenment, networking and business, there was lots of fun had by all who attended.
